step-by-step methodology for developing strategy maps: a hybrid approach using quality function deployment, fuzzy screening and fuzzy cognitive maps
Authors
abstract
nowadays balanced scorecard has a critical role in implementing strategies for many organizations. strategy map as the 3rd generation of bsc by inverting mission and vision into strategic objectives is the linkage between formulating and implementing strategies. however, the methodology of developing strategy maps has many ambiguities. this study with inspiring by other authors and exploring literatures representing an improved methodology to resolve three identified short comings or improvement potential. using qfd and fuzzy screening, fuzzy cognitive maps and considering fuzzy environment a step-by-step methodology represented to considering strategic objective refinement, causal effects modelling and human subjectivities. finally the methodology has applied in a practical case.

A new control strategy for energy management in Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles based on Fuzzy Cognitive Maps
In this paper, a new control strategy for energy management in Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) using Fuzzy Cognitive Map (FCM) is presented. In this strategy, FCM is used as a supervisory control such that the State of Charge (SoC) of the battery is kept in the acceptable range and fuel consumption per kilometer is reduced, in addition to providing the request power. Since this method ...
full textDeveloping Initial State Fuzzy Cognitive Maps with Self-Organizing Maps
Using soft computing methods, the authors collect and process relevant user-generated information from the web. Through the use of self-organizing maps, fuzzy cognitive maps are constructed. The fuzzy cognitive map is a generated representation of the emergent web semantics of the dataset. In the next step, the fuzzy cognitive maps are enriched with related lexical content and stored in a graph...
full textFUCOMA: Fuzzy Cognitive Maps
The information abstracted by humans and quite complex processes, are usually imprecise or approximate. The adopted modelling strategy is usually imprecise in nature, with no or partial knowledge of the problem, and generally expressed in linguistic terms. Thus, the use of Fuzzy Logic can help solving the ambiguities and vagueness usually faced in this kind of problems. Soft computing technique...
full textExtended Fuzzy Cognitive Maps
Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCMs) have been proposed to represent causal reasoning by using numeric processing. They graphically represent uncertain causal reasoning. In the resonant states, there emerges a limit cycle or a hidden pattern, which is a FCM inference. However, there are some shortcomings concerned with knowledge representation in the conventional FCMs. In this paper, we propose Extended...
full textTheory and Methodology Fuzzy multicriteria models for quality function deployment
An integrated formulation and solution approach to Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is presented. Various models are developed by de®ning the major model components (namely, system parameters, objectives, and constraints) in a crisp or fuzzy way using multiattribute value theory combined with fuzzy regression and fuzzy optimization theory. The proposed approach would allow a design team to rec...
full textLearning Fuzzy Grey Cognitive Maps using Nonlinear Hebbian-based approach
Recently, Fuzzy Grey Cognitive Maps (FGCM) has been proposed as a FCM extension. It is based on Grey System Theory, that it has become a very effective theory for solving problems within environments with high uncertainty, under discrete small and incomplete data sets. The proposed approach of learning FGCMs applies the Nonlinear Hebbian based algorithm determine the success of radiation therap...
